The Atomos Shogun, a stunning 4K HDMI / 12G-HD-SDI 7″ monitor and recorder. It combines a jaw-dropping colour-calibrated 1920 x 1200 resolution display, which makes for a superb monitor (both in the studio or in the field) and is perfect for serious focus pulling, combined with a UHD 4K recorder capable of recording 4K over HDMI and 12G-SDI inputs.

The Shogun records clean output camera feeds at UHD 4K at 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97 and 30 fps, all progressive. Also full HD (1920 x 1080) recording up to 120 fps, which is very impressive too.

The Atomos Shogun captures up to 10-bit 4:2:2 UHD 4K + HD 1080 to Apple ProRes HQ 422 and ProRes LT to the supplied 500GB 2.5″ slim SSD’s / HDD’s.

The Shogun comes equipped with a 7″ IPS capacitive touchscreen, at 1920 x 1200 pixels and Rec 709 colour calibrated, supporting 48Hz/50Hz/60Hz frequency inputs. It also has HD-SDI and HDMI loop outputs so it can feed other devices.

The monitor’s tools are equally impressive with custom LUT, 3D LUT, genlock, XLR audio breakout cables, full waveform monitor, RGB parade, vectorscope, focus peaking, false colour, zebras, exposure tools, framing guides, focus tools and, well you name it!

This little beast is perfect for shooting on a DJI Ronin too and ideal for capturing Panasonic GH4 or Sony A7S 4K footage directly. It is equally perfect as a recorder for a Sony A7S or as a focus pulling monitor on a RED EPIC Dragon!
